The service was excellent, really friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, really lovely. I couldn't fault anything. I will definitely visit again and would definitely recommend you to anyone in that vicinity. It really was the icing on the cake to a family gathering and I would love if you could thank the young man who served us but I didn't get his name, but every person there was lovely. Traditional steak pie with upgrade! Nice gravy, mustard mash and good selection of veggies; compliments to chef! Very popular Saturday lunchtime and servers did pretty good managing the tables. Too full to try dessert unfortunately... Next time. Dog loved the real fire too, didn't want to leave...

Really cosy place. Staff very friendly and food great.
Poached egg, ham & hollandaise sauce on toasted bread all really nicely cooked. Hubby had open sandwich sausage & fried egg really nice.

Went for lunch, the staff were very helpful, the ambiance great, a lovely wood burning stove a great feature on a cold, damp day.

We had a fish cake and a kebab of duck, plus a bottle of wine. The food was very tasty and the wine was very good quality and all at a reasonable price.

Tried several times previously due to hearing great things about the place. Son’s school on strike today, so took the opportunity to try once more, & succeeded!! In brief, fantastic friendly staff, really warm welcoming friendly atmosphere & blown away by the food - size, presentation & quality. Can’t wait for the teacher’s to strike again!! Big thank you to all the staff who were always smiling, & obviously enjoy working there.
